Tears of the Kingdom is finally here, and you’ve obviously managed to tear yourself away from it for long enough to type “How to beat the Susuyai Shrine in Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom” into Google and find yourself on this website. This shrine offers you a very basic introduction to one of TtoK’s most exciting new features – vehicle building.

The Susuyai Shrine will put Link’s new Ultrahand ability to the test, but it doesn’t offer any challenges in the way of combat. Just be prepared to get crafty.

Where do I find the Susuyai Shrine in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom?

The Susuyai Shrine can be found in the west of Central Hyrule, a little bit further along than the Jiosin Shrine. It’s just a short journey from that shrine, easy to make on foot.

Upon entering the Susuyai Shrine, you’ll be greeted with three speeding carts going in opposite directions, vanishing under low walls and reappearing on an infinite loop. These can be stopped in their tracks by hitting the wheel/motor items, or you can just grab them with Ultrahand and move them out of the way.

First things first, there’s a treasure chest on the central cart. Stop it and jump aboard to claim your 5x Arrows.

These will be useful as the Zonai wheels can be stopped and started with an arrow strike – so bear that in mind as we progress. Once you’ve emptied the treasure chest, head further into the shrine until you come up to a rapidly moving conveyor belt and a half-dismantled cart on the left-hand side.

You can now use Ultrahand to fix the cart. I recommend flipping it over first – otherwise, you end up with wonky wheels like the above. Or, if you want to be even lazier, just nab a premade one from the first puzzle and stick it in front of the conveyor belt.

Once you’re onboard, just hit the wheels and you should sail straight over the Susuyai Shrine‘s second challenge. Next, you’ll be faced with a closed gate and a lever that can be pushed – but as soon as you let go, the gate falls back down. Grab a wheel from your cart and attach it to the lever. Hit it and the gate will be held open.

Walk through the gate and you’ll be greeted with a cable car hanging above another chasm.

This is a sort of mini-crash course in how objects interact. Don’t be fooled by the two Zonai wheels lying off to the left-hand side – you only need one to clear the Susuyai Shrine. Pick it up and attach it to the hanging platform as shown below.

You can now hop onto the platform and strike the wheel with an arrow. If placed correctly, you’ll be zooming along the rail in style. With that, you’ve beaten the Susuyai Shrine in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
