We’ve had our Carnaval fun, now it’s time to plan your dream wedding!! Ok so your Sims dream wedding, but hey isn’t The Sims’ sole purpose to allow you to live vicariously through a simulated world with your ideal self? Welcome to My Wedding Stories.

So first things first, let’s reflect on why this pack is eagerly awaited. Previously sims weddings were easily done, however, the preparation was fairly simple. My Wedding Stories allows for a proper plan inclusive of engagement parties, family dinners, bachelor/bachelorette parties, and rehearsal dinners, to get the full wedding planning experience!

In fact, we won’t be surprised if, before long, people end up doing their entire weddings online in The Sims, since it offers the full experience, and rather than spending thousands of pounds, it’s going to set you back less than £20. You can literally create your dream wedding, selecting everything from the cake, flowers and more.

Not to mention the beautiful hairstyles and outfits available. Yes, the male Sims get lovely suits, they always have done, but the lovely ladies had dresses which left a lot to be desired. Not any more. Check out some of the beautiful dresses on hand below:

A SIM-ply unique world

My favourite aspect of any new sims content is exploring new worlds. My Wedding Stories introduces Tartosa, the newly professed most romantic world on the Sims planet has lovely new lots for customisation and also wedding venues that are specially equipped for your sims special day. I mean come on how cute is this place? Such an idyllic location for the perfect Sims wedding.

Lots of customisations

Next up let’s take some time to appreciate the customisation aspects and the wedding venues themselves. There is plenty of content not just for your Sims wedding day but also for romantic style garden, personally, arches loaded with beautiful flowers can make any garden POP!

The wedding venues come with various areas for your Sims to enjoy, after choosing your flowers and cake, you can make toasts in the bar area, make guests take their seats and have a proper walk down the aisle.

A cute addition to this pack is the ability to ask other sims to take part in the ceremony. So why not have a go at your own wedding run-through? Throw some subtle hints at your partner.

There really isn’t anything negative I can comment on this pack, except maybe there is more content made available for female Sims than the Male ones. But considering that it’s quite an open game when anyone can wear dresses no matter their gender, and anyone can get married no matter how they identify, The Sims 4 is actually more progressive than some countries on the planet.

My Wedding Stories key features:

  • Fully emersive wedding planning experience
  • Beautiful new world
  • Beautiful new creatasim hair, clothes and make-up
  • New build mode items

Overall thoughts of the My Wedding Stories pack

My Wedding Stories is available at a competitive price for its content. It doesn’t take away from the classic Sims experience whilst also flinging the player into the present-day and an accurate representation of human life. There is so much new content and features available, it could almost be a standalone game by itself. So what are you waiting for? Go create some memories that will last your Sims a lifetime.
