In a world increasingly dominated by digital downloads and streaming platforms, Super Rare Games has consistently championed the magic of physical game releases. This dedication has culminated in their latest achievement – the 100th Nintendo Switch™ release. To mark this special occasion, Super Rare Games is launching two celebrated indie games: “Lil Gator Game” for the Nintendo Switch™ and the much-loved “A Short Hike” for PS4.

Super Rare Games: A journey spanning five years

Beginning its journey just over five years ago with its inaugural release, Super Rare Games has since carved a unique niche for itself in the gaming industry. The company has been an ardent supporter of Indie developers, facilitating them in bringing their imaginative titles to a broader audience through physical game releases.

This passion project has now seen the company achieve a significant landmark. Reflecting on this journey, the team at Super Rare Games expressed, “It’s hard to believe our #1 release was just five years ago. We’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported us. We hope it continues to be a fantastic adventure!”

The Lil Gator Game: A fresh adventure

In collaboration with Playtonic Games, Super Rare Games is thrilled to introduce the Lil Gator Game for the Nintendo Switch™. This title promises island adventures, where players engage in quests and encounter charming characters who quickly become friends. The game will be made available in three formats, offering fans a variety of options:

  1. Standard Edition: Comes with all the game’s content on its physical cartridge, a full-colour manual, interior artwork, exclusive sticker, and trading cards.
  2. Steelbook Edition: In addition to the content of the Standard Edition, it features a steelbook case complete with a Lil Gator character magnet, allowing fans to curate their scenes on the steelbook case.

It boasts the Standard Edition game, steelbook case, 4 steelbook character magnets, colour-me-in storybook, pack of crayons, wristbands, enamel pin badge, a full set of trading cards, Lil Gator sticker, steelbook slipcase, and a postcard.
