Publisher Untold Tales and developer Irox Games have announced that EcoGnomix, the quirky roguelite turn-based mining and city builder hybrid, is heading to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. While there’s no set release date just yet, console players can soon join the gnome-led underground adventures that PC and Switch players have already been enjoying.
Originally launched on PC via Steam and GOG on September 30, 2024, followed by a Switch release on November 7, 2024, EcoGnomix is all about sending out gnome teams on underground expeditions, gathering resources, expanding a village, and strategising through procedurally generated levels.
A roguelite meets city builder with a gnome-sized twist
Perched atop a vast network of mystical caves is your tiny gnome village—and it’s up to you to expand it! Every trip into the depths is a chance to bring back valuable resources, face bizarre underground creatures, and unlock new upgrades to build up your settlement.

EcoGnomix key features
- Build your gnome village – Construct new buildings, set up production chains, and establish an economy to help fund deeper, riskier expeditions.
- Tactical roguelite runs – Every level requires strategic planning. Deploy gnomes, gather resources, and battle cave-dwelling foes while keeping an eye on dwindling supplies.
- Adapting your team – Each expedition lets you switch up your gnome squad, combining upgrades and abilities to fit the challenges ahead.
- Permanent progression – Every run earns resources, ensuring that progress is never lost—even if your gnome team meets an unfortunate end.

EcoGnomix mixes the thrill of roguelite decision-making with city-building depth, making it a unique experience for strategy lovers. With PlayStation and Xbox releases on the horizon, more players will soon be able to jump into this charming underground adventure.
