Alawar has officially announced Wall World 2, the sequel to its roguelite action/tower defense game. It’s set to release for PC via Steam in 2025, bringing expanded mechanics, deeper progression, and new challenges.

A bigger, deadlier Wall

Building on the original, Wall World 2 adds more ways to mine, fight, and survive. Players will explore procedurally generated tunnels, upgrade their robospider and exosuit, and battle relentless enemies both on the Wall’s surface and deep within its mines. This time, the game expands underground, introducing new monster types and anomalies—special tile effects that can help or hinder your progress.

A major new feature is robospider customization. Players can swap its legs for tank treads and other mobility upgrades, tailoring movement and combat to their playstyle. The game also introduces Sphere City, a hub where players can meet new characters and unlock upgrades between runs.

Wall World 2 key features

  • Mining & exploration – Discover hidden technologies and lost artifacts in procedurally generated mines.
  • Roguelite progression – Upgrade your tools, robospider, and exosuit weapons between runs.
  • Dynamic combat – Face off against enemies on the Wall’s surface and underground, using a growing arsenal of weapons and abilities.
  • A living world – Navigate ever-changing biomes, hazards, and anomalies that shape your journey.
  • Customization & upgrades – Improve your robospider’s movement, weapons, and gear to survive longer and dig deeper.
