Bandai Namco and Brownies have released a new trailer for Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree. It introduces two Guardian characters, Nishiki and Rekka.
Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree is a roguelite action game. You play as Towa, a priestess. Her goal is to protect Shinju Village from Magatsu, a dark force. She is not alone; eight Guardians fight beside her. Each Guardian has their weapons and powers.
Towa and the Guardians offer a bond-based combat and story
The game mixes action, exploration, and relationships. You travel across a mystical world. The environment is beautiful but dangerous. You must fight enemies, explore dungeons, and protect the Sacred Tree.
The new trailer shows how teamwork works in combat. You fight in pairs, Towa and one Guardian. You can use a sword or a staff. Nishiki and Rekka both offer unique abilities. Each duo has its fighting style.
You can also forge new swords and train at the dojo. The village grows over time. Each run changes the story. You meet new villagers, form bonds, and unlock new powers.
The music is composed by Hitoshi Sakimoto. The visuals are colourful and detailed. The world is full of hidden threats.
The game launches on 19 September 2025. It will be available on PS5, Xbox, Switch, and PC (Steam).
