Nintendo has pulled back the curtain on the Nintendo Switch 2, and it’s packed with major upgrades, a stacked launch lineup, and exciting exclusives. Set to release on June 5, the new console boasts enhanced resolution, frame rates, and Joy-Con 2 mouse controls, setting the stage for a new era of gaming.



Big titles on the way
First up, Pokémon Legends: Z-A brings the adventure to Lumiose City, offering a fresh experience with improved visuals and performance. Fans of fast-paced action will be thrilled to see Kirby Air Riders, a revival of the GameCube classic, glide onto Switch 2 in 2025.
For sports and racing enthusiasts, Drag x Drive (pronounced “Drag and Drive”) introduces an innovative 3v3 online mode where players control their rides using both Joy-Con 2s. With intuitive steering and trick mechanics, this one’s set to shake things up when it launches this summer. And if you want a deep dive into the new console’s features, Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour offers tech demos and mini-games to showcase its capabilities right from launch day.

A powerhouse for third-party games
Nintendo Switch 2 isn’t just about first-party hits, it’s bringing heavyweights from across the industry. The Duskbloods, a brand-new multiplayer title from FromSoftware, is launching exclusively on Switch 2 next year. Hades II also makes its way to the platform, delivering its rogue-like dungeon-crawling action at a smooth 60 FPS.
Sports fans aren’t left out—EA SPORTS Madden NFL and EA SPORTS FC are set to arrive, alongside NBA 2K and WWE 2K. And for those who love large-scale battles, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment will take players back to the Imprisoning War, offering an untold story that connects to Tears of the Kingdom.
Other major titles that are coming on Nintendo Switch 2 include SPLIT FICTION, a co-op adventure blending sci-fi and fantasy; Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition, marking the game’s first appearance on a Nintendo system; Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, featuring its full story and expanded content; and Street Fighter 6, which comes with exclusive Nintendo Switch 2 modes like Gyro Battle and Calorie Contest.


More adventures ahead
If that wasn’t enough, Switch 2 is also getting Sid Meier’s Civilization VII, Hogwarts Legacy (enhanced with faster loading times and new Joy-Con controls), Bravely Default Flying Fairy HD Remaster, and Borderlands 4 in 2025.
Activision’s Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 makes a return with fresh skaters, new tricks, and online play. Meanwhile, Elden Ring Tarnished Edition brings the critically acclaimed RPG, including Shadow of the Erdtree, to Nintendo players for the first time in 2025.
For fans of crime drama, Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut lands as a definitive version of the classic, complete with additional cutscenes and the new Red Light Raid online mode. HITMAN World of Assassination – Signature Edition is also making its way over, offering the full trilogy experience.
And the surprises keep coming, Project 007, Hollow Knight: Silksong, Star Wars Outlaws, and DELTARUNE are all confirmed. Plus, Enter the Gungeon 2 will bring its bullet-hell chaos in 2025.
