The latest gameplay trailer for Lost Skies has landed, giving us a fresh look at this open-world, co-op survival adventure set high above the clouds. Developed by Bossa Games and published by Humble Games, Lost Skies lets you explore a vast world of floating islands, ancient ruins, and towering skyships—either solo or with up to six friends.
And here’s the best part: you won’t have to wait long to try it out. The game will be available as a multiplayer demo during February’s Steam Next Fest, offering a solid five to six hours of hands-on playtime.
Lost Skies trailer
Instead of the usual survival grind of setting up camp on solid ground, Lost Skies hands you a fully customisable skyship—your base, your home, and your ticket to adventure. Whether you’re scavenging resources, dodging environmental hazards, or taking on the colossal creatures lurking in the skies, your ship evolves with you.
The survival mechanics lean towards “Survival Lite,” meaning you won’t be punished for not grinding endlessly or following a strict order of tasks—just pure exploration and discovery at your own pace.

Traversal looks like a blast, too. The grappling hook lets you swing between islands, scale ruins, and pull off some pretty slick aerial manoeuvres as you explore remnants of lost civilizations. And if you’re feeling creative, Lost Skies has something extra in store: the Island Creator, a free-to-play tool that lets you design your own floating island—puzzles, traps, hidden stories, the works. Once built, you can share your creation with others via Steam Workshop.
If this sounds like your kind of adventure, you can wishlist Lost Skies on Steam now and get ready to take to the skies when the demo drops.
