Intel has reached a new milestone, with over 150 games now supporting its Xe Super Sampling (XeSS) technology. The announcement was made through a short social media video showcasing various modern titles, accompanied by a message stating:
We’ve hit the mark on 150+ games with XeSS support, with more on the way! Experience peak gaming for yourself with Intel XeSS AI upscaling today.
Growth and adoption
Intel first introduced Xe Super Sampling with the launch of its Arc “Alchemist” discrete GPUs, bringing AI-powered upscaling to a broader audience. The technology was initially available on Xe LP-based iGPUs and Iris Xe MAX discrete GPUs, laying the foundation for wider adoption across the gaming industry. Since then, they have steadily expanded support, with the latest milestone marking 159 compatible titles.

XeSS 2 and Battlemage GPUs
In December 2024, Intel unveiled XeSS 2 alongside the Arc B580 “Battlemage” graphics card. However, the new version is still in its early days, with VideoCardz reporting only two supported titles so far. The first-generation Xe Super Sampling technology, on the other hand, continues to see broader adoption, reflecting Intel’s push to enhance gaming performance on its GPUs.

The Arc B580 has seen strong demand from PC gamers looking for a budget-friendly option with AI upscaling capabilities. Last month, Intel further expanded its lineup with the Arc B570, offering another affordable choice for those looking to experience Xe Super Sampling 2. As Battlemage GPUs gain popularity, it remains to be seen how quickly developers will implement support for XeSS 2.
