Team17 and Expression Games have officially unveiled Hell Let Loose: Vietnam at the Future Games Show, transporting the acclaimed tactical FPS series into one of history’s most infamous conflicts.
Hell Let Loose: Vietnam reveal trailer
Set between 1965 and 1973, the new entry builds on the squad-based intensity of the 2021 original, swapping the muddy fields of Europe for the dense jungles and rivers of Vietnam. Players can expect the same large-scale, platoon-driven combat, now with new terrain, vehicles, and tactics that demand teamwork above all else.
Hell Let Loose: Vietnam promises sprawling 50v50 battles across six authentic maps, each designed to capture the harsh, claustrophobic, and unpredictable nature of the Vietnam War. From thick jungles to makeshift tunnel networks, every environment is built to encourage strategy and communication, staying true to the series’ reputation for authenticity.

The game also expands combined-arms warfare. Helicopters will play a crucial role, offering troop transport, supply drops, reconnaissance, and fire support. On the water, players can take command of heavily armed patrol boats like the iconic U.S. PBR, while the North Vietnamese forces can utilise intricate tunnel systems to outflank and ambush the opposition. These additions push tactics beyond the frontline, making mastery of the battlefield more complex and rewarding than ever.
Team17 confirmed that support for the original Hell Let Loose will continue with fresh content, while this new release offers fans both continuity and innovation in one package. The game is already available to wishlist across Xbox, PlayStation, Epic Games Store, and Steam.
