Destiny 2 players are in for an exciting new chapter as Revenant Act I goes live today! The latest episode delivers fresh content, new features, and some chilling updates that promise to keep Guardians on their toes. The story introduces the Slayer Baron title as players go up against Fikrul, the formidable leader of an undead Scorn army empowered by an Echo, created after the defeat of the Witness in The Final Shape.
This time, Destiny 2 truly embraces its darker, frostier side, with the introduction of Stasis mods and icy Exotic armor updates. Guardians can also wield the all-new Exotic Stasis Grenade Launcher, Alethonym, which grants vampiric abilities that support fire teams by providing Special and Heavy weapon ammo. The content drop also includes Onslaught: Salvation, introducing three new maps (Widow’s Court, Eventide Ruins, and Kell’s Grave) and fresh defensive mechanics such as airstrikes and rideable turrets.
Additionally, players can enjoy a brand-new Skimmer vehicle, weapon unlocks, and Artifact perks. And with Festival of the Lost returning on October 29, there’s plenty more in store for Guardians as they gear up for some spooky fun.
Vesper’s host Dungeon Race
If that wasn’t enough for Revenant Act I, the Vesper’s Host Dungeon launches this Friday, October 11, alongside the game’s first-ever official Dungeon Race in collaboration with Twitch Rivals. Elite fireteams will battle it out in Contest Mode, with viewers able to tune in to the action via Twitch Rivals at 10:00 AM PT on launch day.
The Dungeon Race will have Guardians competing for glory and in-game rewards, with special prizes up for grabs for those who complete the Dungeon in Contest Mode. Among the coveted rewards is the legendary Ice Breaker Exotic Sniper Rifle, which makes its return as part of the dungeon’s loot pool. Players who complete the Dungeon during its first 48 hours will earn a special emblem to commemorate their achievement.
For those who complete the Dungeon by February 5, 2025, exclusive real-world rewards await through Bungie Rewards. These include the Vesper’s Host bracelet, activewear hoodie, collectable Dungeon pin, and more. Guardians can also unlock the Unleashed Title to earn the Collectible Medallion pin.
