Control Ultimate Edition gets a big update – Ultra Ray Tracing, HDR, and more

Control Ultimate Edition just got a big update on PC, bringing new graphical upgrades, mission content, and bug fixes. PlayStation 5 and Xbox players will get the update later, with Remedy Entertainment spacing out releases to ensure stability.

What’s new in the Control Ultimate Edition March 2025 update (1.30)?

Outfits & mission additions

Control Ultimate Edition PC players now have access to previously exclusive outfits:

  • Astral Dive Suit
  • Tactical Response Gear
  • Urban Response Gear

A new mission, Dr. Yoshimi Tokui’s Guided Imagery Experience, is also available. Originally a PlayStation-exclusive, this mission features voiceover from Hideo Kojima and can be unlocked in the Extrasensory Lab of the Research Sector.

  • HDR support and a new Ultra ray tracing preset for better reflections and lighting
  • Ultrawide monitor support (up to 48:9)
  • FOV scaling option for camera adjustments

  • DLSS 3.7 update for improved stability
