Wired Productions is teaming up with Camel 101 again, this time to bring us Beneath, a horror FPS inspired by F.E.A.R. and Resident Evil. This game puts you in the role of a deep-sea diver facing terrifying creatures in the ocean’s darkest depths.

If that sounds like your kind of thing, you can sign up for a closed beta playtest to try the game early and share your feedback with the developers.

What’s Beneath about?

You play as Noah Quinn, a skilled deep-sea diver whose latest expedition takes a turn for the worse. Trapped far below the surface, you uncover an ancient evil hiding in the deep. Your only hope of survival? Face it head-on.

But don’t expect to go in guns blazing—ammo is scarce, much like in Resident Evil and Half-Life, so you’ll need to be smart about every shot. On top of that, you’ll have to keep your mind in check because the horrors below don’t just attack your body—they mess with your sanity too.

It’s not just monsters lurking down there, either. You’ll also have to fight soldiers, adding another layer of danger to your escape. The good news? You won’t just be stuck in one place. Beneath lets you step outside your base and explore the deep ocean using your dive suit, which makes the setting feel even more eerie and unpredictable.

A reunion for Wired and Camel 101

This isn’t the first time Wired Productions and Camel 101 have worked together—they previously teamed up on Those Who Remain. Both sides are excited to be working together again.

“It’s a pleasure to work with Bruno and Ricardo again,” said Leo Zullo, Managing Director at Wired Productions. “They are a passionate and talented team, and as brothers, their bond resonates deeply with Wired. Long-term relationships are important to us, and we will put our hearts and souls into Beneath and them.”

Ricardo Cesteiro, Co-Founder and Managing Director at Camel 101, shared the same excitement:

“We couldn’t be more excited about teaming up with Wired! Our previous partnership on Those Who Remain was a success, so we already know the value they bring to the table. Beneath is our most ambitious project to date, and we’re sure that their passion and expertise will be invaluable in helping us bring the game to its full potential.”

Right now, Beneath is confirmed for PC, but there’s no word yet on whether it will come to consoles. Hopefully, more details will be shared soon.
