SEGA has finally done it. Yakuza Kiwami 3 and Dark Ties are both real, and they’re coming our way early next year on Steam.

Kiwami 3 is a full remake of the 2009 classic Yakuza 3. It takes players back to Okinawa and Tokyo with sharper visuals and smoother combat. This isn’t just a paint job either; SEGA is adding new scenes that bring more weight to the story, plus fresh side activities to lose hours in. You should expect the same mix of drama and chaos, but with extra polish.
Then there’s Dark Ties, a completely new spin-off. This time, the spotlight is on Yoshitaka Mine, one of Yakuza 3’s most complex characters. The game tells his story of falling into the underworld after losing everything. With a boxing-inspired combat system and plenty of side distractions, it looks set to deliver both grit and fun.
Both titles are scheduled to launch on 11 February 2026. SEGA has already dropped the first trailers, showing off a taste of the action. If you’re a fan of the series or just looking for a way into it, this double release is worth keeping an eye on.
