WWE 2K26 is officially on the way, and 2K and Visual Concepts are going big this year. The annual wrestling release arrives this March, with CM Punk taking centre stage once again as the cover star and the focus of the new 2K Showcase mode.

The headline number is hard to ignore. WWE 2K26 launches with over 400 playable Superstars, with more added post-launch through DLC. It is one of the largest rosters the series has ever seen. New match types are also joining the action, including I Quit, Inferno, Three Stages of Hell, and Dumpster matches. Weapons have expanded too, with items like shopping carts and thumb tacks now in play.

WWE 2K26 focuses on deeper gameplay and long-requested system changes

For long-time fans, the most important change may be under the hood. Visual Concepts has rebuilt the reversal and stamina systems from the ground up. Details are still light, but the goal is to add more strategy and reduce frustration during matches.

Several modes are getting meaningful updates. The Creation Suite now offers double the Create-A-Superstar slots and deeper body morphing tools. MyGM supports more shows, larger matches, and intergender bouts. MyRise adds replayable story paths tied to player choices. The Island returns with a new storyline and is now available on PC for the first time.

WWE 2K26 launches on March 13 for PC, PS5, Xbox, and Switch 2. Early access begins on March 6 for premium editions. Prices start at $70 (around £55), with the top Monday Night War Edition costing $150 (roughly £118).
