Leenzee has dropped fresh details on WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers Update 1.5, and it’s a solid polish pass. The patch is targeting a release window in the week of August 11th, with a bunch of fixes and quality-of-life improvements players have been asking for.

Before diving into what’s coming, a small hotfix (Patch 1.4.1) is already out. It’s a prep update to ensure smooth compatibility with the upcoming AMD driver update and lays some groundwork for 1.5.

Now, onto the big one.

Update 1.5 is all about refining gameplay flow and crushing those pesky bugs. First up, they’re tweaking the invincibility frames on Wuchang’s get-up animation. This means you won’t get punished immediately after a knockdown, which should make early-game fights feel fairer.

Healing is also getting a much-needed speed boost. The healing animation will be slightly faster, and you can now cancel it with a dodge. This adds a bit of strategy mid-combat and makes healing less of a gamble.

Other key changes in Wuchang 1.5 include:

  • Adjustments to NPC animations, balancing values, and AI behaviour.
  • Fixing audio stutters on specific hardware.
  • Updated descriptions for equipment and items, plus new and revised voice lines.
  • Fixes for key binding bugs, especially for left shift, ctrl, and alt.
  • That annoying Buddha statue disappearing bug in Chapter 1 will be fixed.
  • Benediction and Jade Pendant combos are not working in NG+, which will also be sorted.
  • Terrain glitches that got players stuck will be smoothed out.
  • Reduced waiting time on elevators and fixed the Chapter 5 elevator trap issue.
  • Lower-level enemies will now be easier to stagger.
  • Super-sampling settings will finally behave correctly on high-end machines.

Crash fixes are also a major focus. The update addresses crashes linked to resolution changes, shader errors on NVIDIA cards, transparent asset rendering, and GPU hangs. Plus, there are clean-ups for map loading crashes and other minor stability improvements.

Leenzee is still testing everything to ensure the patch lands smoothly, but they’re aiming to roll out Update 1.5 in the week of August 11th. Once a final date is locked in, they’ll drop another update.

This patch isn’t huge in content, but it’s a chunky quality-of-life update that’ll make WUCHANG feel tighter and more responsive.
