Nexon Games has announced Woochi the Wayfarer, a single-player fantasy action-adventure inspired by The Tale of Jeon Woochi. Developed by LoreVault Studio, the game is set in Korea’s Joseon era and aims to blend epic storytelling, striking visuals, and traditional culture into one blockbuster package. Take a look at the trailer below.

Like Black Myth: Wukong did for Chinese folklore, Woochi the Wayfarer draws directly from a beloved Korean novel. Players will follow Jeon Woochi, a powerful mage who uses his abilities to battle injustice and outwit the corrupt. You can expect vivid Unreal Engine 5 environments, mythical creatures, and settings pulled straight from Korean tradition.

The reveal trailer, which was just over two minutes long, teases a tense standoff between Woochi and a mysterious shaman named Myoan. While gameplay is still under wraps, the tone is rich with mystique and drama.

Music is another highlight. The soundtrack is composed by Jung Jae-il, known for Parasite and Squid Game, and takes heavy inspiration from traditional Korean music. LoreVault is also working with experts in literature and culture, even visiting real-world historical sites to ensure accuracy.

There’s no release date yet, but Nexon promises a fresh, emotional experience that will resonate with players worldwide. If the final game matches its ambition, it could be a major contender.
