The latest acquisition builds on existing global growth plans for the mobile games publisher

The world’s number one mobile games publisher, Voodoo, has today announced its acquisition of OHM Games, a mobile games studio based in Paris, France. The move follows the publisher’s stream of global expansion initiatives, including the acquisition of Istanbul-based mobile games studio Fabrika Games and the announcement of new APAC region offices earlier this year, as part of plans to expand its global reach into 2021.

Voodoo and OHM Games published as many as four global Hit games over the last twelve months, and the two companies intend to extend this repeat success going forward, and build upon a strong partnership. Voodoo will leverage OHM Games’ capabilities in the hyper-casual space to best serve its talented partner studio community.

Established in 2018 by founders Paul Evrard, Arthur Duverne, Matthieu Chow Cheuk and Thibaud Reygner, OHM Games has already enjoyed success with mobile games including Knock Balls, Push’em All, Knock’em All, Bullet Rush and Shortcut Run, with a combined 260 million downloads to date.

OHM Games have seen great success through their innovation in the hyper casual games market, using elements of physics and unpredictability in their games to engage users. This continued partnership ensures that they can further push their creativity and the boundaries of the hyper-casual genre itself.

Arthur Duverne, Co-Founder and CEO of OHM Games, said: “We’re proud to take our partnership with Voodoo one step further, and working with some of the most talented people in the industry is an honour. We have built a unique methodology and approach to the hyper casual market with Voodoo, and now we can achieve even more outstanding results, relevancy and replicability in the prototyping and design of mobile games of all kinds.

“With Voodoo, we developed a tailored deal as we grew exponentially and established ourselves as a leader in the production of hyper casual mobile games. The destiny of OHM Games is directly linked to that of Voodoo, and we’re confident that together we will consolidate our strengths, continue to grow, and best serve the studio community.”

Voodoo proudly employs a high-speed and agile approach to publishing; from coaching and iterating, marketing and monetisation – through to optimisation. Alexander Yadzi, CEO of Voodoo, said: “We’re thrilled to be able to build on our existing relationship with OHM Games, using our expertise to help them deliver even bigger and better hyper casual games to users worldwide for many years to come”.
