Stronghold Crusader: Definitive Edition is officially coming to PC. Firefly Studios announced that the remastered real-time strategy game will launch via Steam on 15 July 2025. Fans can get a sneak peek with a demo available today at 5:00 p.m. GMT.
“We wanted to exceed expectations,” said Nick Tannahill, a series veteran from Firefly Studios, in a press release. “This is a beloved game, and we’ve added new features while staying true to its roots. We’re excited to hear what players think of the public demos.”
What’s new in the definitive edition of Stronghold Crusader
This updated version of Stronghold Crusader includes:
- Remastered graphics, animations, and music.
- New campaigns, characters, and AI opponents.
- Fan-requested features like larger maps and co-op skirmishes.
- Customisation options and quality-of-life improvements.
Players can relive legendary battles from the Crusades, commanding forces as Richard the Lionheart or Saladin.
