Skybound Games and indie developer Mighty Yell have partnered with award-winning music group Rockapella to create the theme song for The Big Con, the ‘90s teenage grifting adventure coming this summer to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. Best known for their work on the PBS children’s game show Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego?, Rockapella performs in a new sing-a-long music video released today featuring the original theme for The Big Con, which will have a free playable PC demo during Steam Next Fest beginning June 16.

THE BIG CON – Rockapella “Gimme Money”

  • Original theme written by: Matthew Winkler, Dan Rodrigues and Dave Proctor
  • Performed by: Rockapella

The Big Con has recently been named an “Official Selection” for Tribeca Games as part of the Tribeca Film Festival, going on now through June 20. Separate from Steam Next Fest, players can sign-up to play the PC demo as part of the Tribeca Festival at www.tribecafilm.com/games#43552.

A classic coming-of-age story steeped in the nostalgic humor and flair of the ‘90s, The Big Con stars Ali, a teenage con artist trying to save her mom’s video store from unscrupulous loan sharks any way she can. In this fun adventure with punchy puzzles and dialogue, how you make that money is in your hands: pick pockets, pick locks, persuade marks, pilfer prizes, sneak around in disguises, and even profit off the latest plushie fad.

From its gameplay to its visuals and writing, The Big Con is a hilarious narrative journey filled with open-ended situations, puzzles, and exploration. Talk your way into deals and out of trouble with a weird cast of ‘90s characters who you can choose to rip off (or even occasionally help, if you feel like it). You can even call home and argue with your mom!

The Big Con is available to wishlist on Steam now.
