FuturLab has officially announced PowerWash Simulator 2, set to launch in late 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox, and PC via Steam. While reports suggest a possible release on the next-gen Switch, FuturLab has clarified that no firm plans are in place for that platform yet.
A fresh coat of clean
The sequel builds on the success of its predecessor, promising new tools, enhanced visuals, and fresh gameplay mechanics designed to make cleaning even more satisfying. According to FuturLab design director Dan Chequer, the game expands on the core experience by introducing more ways to achieve that pressure-washing satisfaction players love.
Chris Mehers, the studio’s chief operating officer, highlighted the milestone of PowerWash Simulator reaching 17 million players worldwide. This success has allowed the studio to self-publish the sequel, taking the series to the next level.

New features to PowerWash Simulator 2
- New locations: Explore fresh environments beyond Muckingham, including Sponge Valley, Power Falls, and Lubri City.
- Home-base customisation: Decorate your personal space with furniture and trinkets collected during jobs, then invite friends over to admire your setup.
- Improved washing mechanics: Enhanced soap sticks better to stubborn stains, making cleaning even more satisfying.
- Split-screen co-op: For the first time, play side by side with a friend in local split-screen, alongside online multiplayer.

The original PowerWash Simulator turned a simple concept into an oddly addictive experience, and PowerWash Simulator 2 looks set to build on that formula with even more features. As FuturLab promises, there’s still more dirt to be dished on upcoming content and additions, so stay tuned!
