The wait is nearly over. Pathologic 3 finally has a release date. Ice-Pick Lodge and HyperTrain Digital have confirmed the cult horror sequel will arrive on PC on 9 January 2026. But if you can’t hold out that long, you can dive into the free demo right now through Steam Next Fest, which runs until 20 October.

And before you ask, no, this one’s not getting delayed. Ice-Pick Lodge made it very clear on the game’s Steam page that the date is “nailed down, screwed in, wrapped in commitments, and it isn’t moving.” So yes, it’s happening.

The studio also dropped a new trailer to go with the demo, offering a glimpse into the unsettling world of Pathologic 3. It follows Daniil Dankovsky’s arrival in the plague-ridden City-on-Gorkhon as he hunts for an immortal man, classic Pathologic weirdness through and through.

The game was originally announced in 2024 with a 2025 release window, but it’s slipping by just nine days. A minor delay for something this strange and ambitious.

You can grab the demo now, and while you’re at it, check out Of Ash and Steel and Beneath, two other standouts from this month’s Steam Next Fest.
