Palworld is in the middle of a legal storm with Nintendo, and now things have taken an unexpected twist. A suspiciously familiar-looking game has popped up on the Nintendo eShop.

The game is called Palland. It quietly launched on 31 July 2025 for Nintendo Switch, priced at $3.99 (about £3.15) on sale. At first glance, it’s hard not to notice how much it resembles Palworld. The art style is strikingly close, and the gameplay description feels like déjà vu. You can check out its gameplay below.

According to the eShop listing, Palland is a “survival, building, and exploration game” where you gather resources, build shelters, and face wild creatures that can either attack or help you. Oh! And yes, there are guns too.

For context, Palworld shot to fame in January 2024, breaking player count records with its “Pokémon with guns” twist. Nintendo quickly took legal action against developer Pocketpair, forcing changes to a core mechanic.

Now, with Palland on the eShop, the question is whether Nintendo will step in again. So far, they’ve made no public comment. But given the current lawsuit, this could get interesting very quickly.
