If you’ve been itching for a new space sim with a side of chaos and creativity, Outworld Station might be exactly what you’re looking for. Just launched in early access on Steam, this strategy-builder from Trickjump Games throws you into the Tau system as a station commander with one job: build, survive, expand, and maybe mine everything that isn’t nailed down.

You start small, of course. A few modules, a bit of mining, maybe the odd alien relic stashed in a moon crater. But Outworld Station isn’t about staying small. You’ll be setting up wormholes, generating antimatter, and upgrading your tech until your station feels more like a fortress than a base. It’s not just about building, either — you’ll have to fend off alien attacks, and that’s where the co-op kicks in. There’s full 4-player PvE co-op baked in, letting you squad up with friends to manage your sprawling space empire together. And yeah, when the bugs come crawling, it’s nice not to die alone.

The visual presentation is sharp, too. The latest gameplay trailer from Trickjump Games shows off shiny solar panels, vast station interiors, and the kind of alien biomes that look suspiciously full of loot. It’s early access, so expect things to evolve, but what’s here already looks polished and ambitious.

Outworld Station is Trickjump Games’ third full release, and it’s their first stab at a simulation-style title after 2023’s ArcRunner, a third-person action game. There’s a shift in pace here — slower, more thoughtful, but still packed with tension and big moments. It’s the kind of pivot that shows they’re willing to stretch, and based on first impressions, it’s paying off.

Outworld Station is out now on Steam in early access. If you’ve got a taste for space, systems, and maybe a little interstellar drama, this one’s worth keeping on your radar.
