Another September casualty. Super Rare Originals and Pixel Reign have delayed Moros Protocol from 4 September to 18 September. The reason is clear – no one wants to fight Hollow Knight: Silksong head-on.

It’s becoming a pattern. CloverPit, Aeterna Lucis, Demonschool, Baby Steps, and Little Witch in the Woods have all shifted away from Silksong’s launch window. Now the Moros Protocol has followed. You can check its trailer below.

The game itself is a sci-fi roguelite first-person shooter with heavy retro vibes. You play as Alex, stranded on a Capital Battleship filled with monsters and corpses. With only an AI companion and his bumbling robot assistant, you battle through wave after wave of horrors.

Co-op also changes the flow. You can tackle the nightmare solo, or drop in with a friend and adapt together. The game’s grim pixel-painted art style and heavy atmosphere set the tone for a desperate fight for survival.

Moros Protocol now launches 18 September on Steam and GOG. But will it stand out in Silksong’s shadow?
