Since the launch of Monster Hunter Wilds, the development team at Capcom has been actively engaging with the player community through a series of “Guild Reports.” I wrote about the first ones as they came out over at ninjarefinery.com
Somehow, in no time at all, the team at Capcom have been providing more Guild Reports at a rate of knots!
These Guild Reports, shared via the official Monster Hunter Twitter account and subsequently archived and discussed by the fan community, provide players with insights into upcoming changes, responses to feedback, and general improvements being made to the game.
Still not a massive amount of movement on the PC performance issues, but something is better than nothing, and the transparency from Capcom is appreciated, for sure.

Guild reports: Quality of life and performance
The first batch of Guild Reports, released in late June and early July 2025, addressed some of the most pressing community concerns following the game’s launch.
- Report 1 (June 27, 2025): This inaugural report acknowledged the performance issues some players were experiencing on PC and outlined the team’s commitment to ongoing optimisation and performance improvements.
- Report 2 (June 27, 2025): The development team responded to feedback regarding the in-game user interface, specifically the difficulty in accessing the map quickly due to on-screen notifications.
- Report 3 (June 27, 2025): This report focused on the functionality and user-friendliness of the player’s Seikret, promising improvements to its behaviour and controls.
- Report 4 (June 27, 2025): Addressing the ever-present topic of weapon balance, Capcom assured players that they were looking into adjustments to ensure a fair and enjoyable experience across all weapon types.
- Report 5 (July 4, 2025): In response to player requests for more accessible item management, this report announced the addition of a “sort” button to the item box.

Mid-July updates
As July progressed, the Guild Reports continued to detail a variety of enhancements aimed at improving the overall gameplay experience.
- Report 6 (July 9, 2025): The developers announced the addition of a “sell all trade-in items” button at the shop, streamlining the process of converting collected treasures into currency.
- Report 7 (July 9, 2025): This report detailed improvements to the “carve” and “gather” animations, making them faster and more fluid.
- Report 8 (July 9, 2025): Responding to player feedback, the team confirmed that they were working on adjustments to the drop rates of rare materials from monsters.

- Report 9 (July 9, 2025): This update addressed the desire for more cosmetic customisation options, announcing the addition of new layered armour sets.
- Report 10 (July 11, 2025): The team acknowledged concerns about the difficulty of certain quests and stated they were reviewing and adjusting the difficulty of specific high-rank and event quests.
- Report 11 (July 18, 2025): This report focused on the online multiplayer experience, with the team committing to improving server stability and matchmaking functionality.
End of July reports
The most recent Guild Reports at the time of this writing tackled the challenging end-game content.
- Report 12 (July 23, 2025): Players have been asking for a way to lock and sort Artian Weapons. This is addressed by an “add to favourites” feature, added to all weapons in the game.
- Report 13 (July 28, 2025): The developers addressed player feedback regarding the difficulty and rewards of the “Tempered” monster investigations, promising adjustments to create a more rewarding and balanced end-game loop.

Transparency
These are all quality of life fixes and proof that Capcom are listening to players. Whether or not they’re ultimately enough to appease the broader fanbase, I’m not sure.
Content is coming at a good pace, with monsters, quests, events, etc., nicely mapped out and drip-fed. However, if they don’t address the PC performance issues, it could all be for nothing.
The Steam rating is currently showing as “Mostly Negative” based on recent reviews, which is a less-than-ideal position to be in, unfortunately.
