Aerosoft, the leading company for high-quality simulation games, is pleased to announce a publishing partnership with Xbox Game Studios for the highly anticipated Microsoft Flight Simulator, available on August 18th. As the official European publisher of the retail disc version, Aerosoft will bring the venerable simulator to retail stores in all European countries. The retail disc version with 10 double-layer DVDs in a high-quality box will be released in two editions: The Standard Edition with a printed manual will cost 69.99 € and the Premium Deluxe Edition will be sold for 129.99 € and will include 10 additional airplanes and airports and a printed hardcover manual.
In addition to the retail disc versions for the European market, Microsoft Flight Simulator will be available as a digital version for Windows 10 or on Xbox Game Pass for PC (Beta). For more information on the digital versions, please visit the official Microsoft Flight Simulator website.
It is an honor for Aerosoft to be the publisher of the boxed version of the new Microsoft Flight Simulator. We are looking forward to seeing the game in stores throughout Europe. We have been working closely with the ambitious and talented teams of Microsoft and Asobo Studio and we are very happy to contribute to the success of this amazing flight simulator.
Winfried Diekmann, CEO and founder of Aerosoft
Aerosoft will also develop extensive add-ons for Microsoft Flight Simulator that will allow players to explore realistic planes and airports.
This is an exciting time for all of us at Xbox Game Studios to partner with Aerosoft and give European gamers and simmers a choice of either a retail disc version or digital download. Aerosoft is also hard at work creating original content for Microsoft Flight Simulator and we can’t wait to share their add-ons with the community.

The disc version requires the first disc to be in the drive to be able to play the game. Huge deal breaker, in my opinion. Such a shame, because many of us would love to get this physical version.
Might be worthwhile getting in touch with the publishers and developer, to see if there is something they can do about this. Like a free download that prevents you having to have that disc in to play the game.
