Another delay has hit Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra. Skydance Games has confirmed that the cinematic action-adventure title won’t make its early 2026 window and is now expected sometime between mid and late 2026.
The announcement landed quietly on X, though not quietly enough to dodge the shadow of Grand Theft Auto VI’s delay, which dropped just minutes later. Still, Skydance made it clear they’re not rushing things.

“Our goal is to deliver unforgettable, premium games,” the studio said. “Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra is an ambitious project, and we’re committed to ensuring it meets the quality our players expect.”
Marvel 1943 still in progress
Directed by Amy Hennig, known for Uncharted, the game promises a story-driven adventure set during World War II. Players will step into the boots of both Captain America and Black Panther as they take on Hydra forces in occupied Paris.
Originally revealed in 2024 and later delayed to early 2026, this marks the project’s second major pushback. No specific release date has been shared, but it’s clear Skydance is aiming high, and taking the time to get it right.

For now, fans will have to sit tight and hope the extra months polish Rise of Hydra into something truly worthy of the Marvel name.
