Life is Strange: Reunion has now been fully revealed by Deck Nine and Square Enix, confirming the next chapter in the long-running series. The game follows directly from 2024’s Life is Strange: Double Exposure and, for the first time since 2017, brings Chloe Price back into the spotlight alongside Max Caulfield.
Life is Strange: Reunion – Announce Trailer
On paper, it sounds like the reunion fans have been waiting for. Max and Chloe are back together, racing against time to prevent another looming disaster. But the excitement has been quickly dulled by one major reveal. Ashly Burch will not be returning as Chloe Price.
Chloe will instead be voiced once again by Rhianna DeVries, who previously stepped into the role for Life is Strange: Before the Storm. At the time, Burch was unable to participate due to a voice actors’ strike. This time, however, there is no such strike in place, which has raised questions across the community.

Fans have taken to social media to voice their frustration. Many argue that a “true reunion” should include the original voice actor, especially when Burch’s performance is seen as central to Chloe’s identity. Some have also pointed out that Hannah Telle is returning as Max, making the absence feel even more noticeable.
Despite the backlash, Life is Strange: Reunion is still likely to sell well. For many fans, the chance to see Max and Chloe’s story wrapped up is too important to ignore, even with lingering disappointment.

Life is Strange: Reunion launches this March.
