Kiwi Ears has launched Altruva, a new pair of open-back headphones. Priced at US$69.99 (around £55), they aim to deliver high-end audio without a high price.
The headphones use a custom 50 mm dynamic driver. This driver features neodymium magnets and a reinforced diaphragm. It’s designed for fast response and clarity. The materials include PU and PEK composites, plus an ultra-pure copper ring for better detail.

Altruva brings studio clarity to everyday listening
Altruva is tuned to sound like studio monitors. The bass hits hard but doesn’t overpower. Mids sound natural and balanced. Vocals and instruments stay clear. The treble is open and airy, giving music a spacious feel.
The open-back design helps with soundstage. It gives a sense of space that closed headphones can’t match. You feel more “in” the music rather than boxed in.
Build quality is also a focus. Altruva uses PVD-coated steel, wood, and vegan leather. The design is made for comfort and long sessions.
