Tlon Industries has dropped a PC demo for Kentum, its side-scrolling base-building survival game, on Steam.
This demo lets players dive into the game’s opening hours, exploring the first region, crafting machines, customising their base, and getting a taste of its deep survival systems.
Game director Roque Rey said;
Kentum is a complex, systems-heavy game, so we wanted the demo to be substantial enough for players to truly grasp its scope. The full game will offer much more—new regions, creatures, base expansion modules, and gear. It’s an expressionistic, open-ended experience where players can forge their own path in the post-apocalypse.
Game bio
You wake up from a 7,000-year-long nap to find yourself seemingly the last human on Earth. With no one to rely on, survival is on you—scavenge resources, harness advanced tech, and build a home base that keeps you alive.
The demo covers the first region, offering plenty of machines and decorations to experiment with. The full game will go even further, introducing fauna machines, drones, and deeper automation systems.
Set in a post-post-apocalyptic world, Kentum features extreme climates, shifting seasons, and bizarre new lifeforms. From towering trash mountains to eerie ruins, every location is packed with secrets, threats, and challenges—like unpredictable weather and low gravity. You’ll need to gather resources, fend off evolved predators, and adapt to the dangers of 10,000 AD.

More than a base, build a self-sustaining machine
With civilization gone, survival means more than just finding shelter. Your base needs to be a fully functional factory. You’ll craft automation machinery, set up conveyor belts, and refine resources like coal and ingots. But efficiency doesn’t have to mean ugly—personalise your space while optimising production.

Kentum launches in 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam. Ready to test it out? The demo is available now.
