Ember Lab, the award-winning indie games studio, has announced that their critically acclaimed action-adventure game Kena: Bridge of Spirits will be available on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One starting 15 August 2024. This marks the first time the beloved game will be accessible to Xbox players worldwide, and it promises to come packed with exciting new content exclusive to the platform.
New features and content for Xbox players
The Xbox version of Kena: Bridge of Spirits will introduce exclusive pirate-themed Rot hats, a unique Kena Staff, and a Golden Rot Skin. Additionally, the game will be available in a physical Premium Edition for Xbox Series X through a partnership with Maximum Entertainment. This edition includes the base game along with several special items:

A journey of self-discovery and adventure
Kena: Bridge of Spirits initially launched on PlayStation platforms on 21 September 2021, and it quickly garnered widespread acclaim for its stunning visuals, heartfelt narrative, and engaging gameplay. The game follows the journey of Kena, a young Spirit Guide, as she seeks to restore balance to an ancient village overrun by corrupt spirits. Players are immersed in a rich world filled with exploration, puzzle-solving, and fast-paced combat, all woven together with a compelling story of self-discovery.
The game has won multiple awards, including Best Independent Game and Best Debut Indie Game at The Game Awards 2021. Xbox players will also benefit from the Anniversary DLC update released in September 2022, which includes Charmstones, Spirit Guide Trials, Kena Outfits, and enhanced accessibility features. Additionally, the New Game+ mode offers players who have completed the game a chance to restart with all their previously unlocked abilities, upgrades, outfits, and Rot, along with redesigned and more challenging combat encounters.
