Team Cherry has dropped the first patch for Hollow Knight: Silksong, and it’s already shaking up the early-game balance. Patch 1.0.28470 is live in beta on Steam and GOG, with a full release across all platforms set for next week.

The update dials back the difficulty of early bosses, with Moorwing and Sister Splinter receiving slight nerfs. Sandcarvers have also had their damage reduced, making those first hours a little less punishing.

Balancing tweaks and bug fixes in Silksong

Balancing tweaks go further. Bellway and Bell Bench prices are now lower, courier deliveries hand out more rosaries, and relics plus psalm cylinders give bigger payouts. Even pea pod collisions have been tuned for smoother play.

But it’s not just about balance. The patch clears up a host of bugs, including cloak issues after the Slab escape, courier deliveries breaking in Act 3, and Lace’s deflect soft-lock in Deep Docks. Other fixes target movement glitches, broken quests, and reward errors that have frustrated players since launch.

For now, PC players can jump in through the beta branch, while console players will need to wait a few days. With Team Cherry already responding to feedback, Silksong’s post-launch support looks strong.
