HiBy has officially launched the new HiBy W4, a portable DAC and AMP made for music lovers who want both wireless ease and wired sound quality in one small device. The W4 is part of HiBy’s W Series and is designed for daily use, travel, and serious listening.
The HiBy W4 supports both wired and wireless playback. This means users can enjoy high-quality music through a cable or switch to Bluetooth when they want more freedom. HiBy says the goal is simple: mix comfort with clean and powerful sound.
The HiBy W4 comes with a smart and flexible design. It includes a clip so you can attach it to your clothes or bag when you are outside. It also has a magnetic back that lets it stick to some phones or phone cases, working like a MagSafe-style accessory. This makes it easy to use on the move.
Inside, the W4 has a built-in 1500mAh battery, so it does not depend fully on your phone’s power. HiBy has also added an Uncharge Mode. This mode stops the W4 from pulling power from your phone, helping save battery life and reduce noise during music playback.
On the front, the HiBy W4 features a 2-inch touch screen. This screen allows users to control music, adjust settings, pair Bluetooth devices, and even view album art when using Bluetooth mode. Having a screen on a DAC AMP makes daily use much easier and more enjoyable.
Sound quality is a big focus for HiBy. The W4 uses dual Cirrus Logic CS43198 DAC chips along with two headphone amplifiers. It supports very high-quality audio formats, including PCM up to 768kHz and native DSD512. The device also includes precise clocks to keep sound clear and stable.
For outputs, the HiBy W4 offers both 3.5mm single-ended and 4.4mm balanced ports. In balanced mode, it can deliver up to 475mW of power, which is strong enough to drive most in-ear monitors without any trouble.
Wireless performance is handled by Qualcomm’s QCC5181 Bluetooth chip. The W4 supports Bluetooth 5.4 and many high-quality codecs, including aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, LDAC, AAC, and more. This ensures stable connection, low delay, and better sound when listening wirelessly.
