Exoborne, the tactical open-world extraction shooter from Sharkmob and Level Infinite, is now in open playtest on Steam. Available worldwide, this playtest runs until 17 February, giving PC players a chance to experience the game early. Signing up is simple—just head to Exoborne’s Steam page and hit “Request Access.”
New Exoborne trailer and gameplay walkthrough
To mark the occasion, Sharkmob has dropped a new trailer, plus an 11-minute gameplay walkthrough showcasing key features. This is the studio’s second title, following Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt, which had a short-lived run. This game was first announced two years ago, but details have been scarce until now.
This five-day playtest isn’t just for fun—it’s a chance for players to provide feedback, report bugs, and help shape the game.
Game bio
Set in a world devastated by extreme weather, Exoborne is a tactical extraction shooter where survival means adapting. Players customise exo-rigs to navigate environmental hazards and gain an edge over opponents. Unlike traditional battle royales, this game emphasises verticality, opening up new strategies for movement, ambushes, and exploration.
Progression carries over between sessions, unlocking new gear and equipment. The game also features an evolving narrative, adding mystery and depth beyond the usual fight-to-the-death formula.

Built in Unreal Engine 5, Exoborne doesn’t have a release date yet, but this playtest is a major step forward.
