Rumours of an Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion remake have resurfaced, with recent reports suggesting an April 2025 release. Speculation dates back to 2023 when a former Virtuos developer hinted at the project’s existence. Earlier this year, MP1st uncovered more details from another ex-Virtuos employee, revealing that the remake is built on Unreal Engine 5 and could feature updated gameplay and an improved HUD.

Industry insider NatetheHate, who previously predicted that The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion remake may release in June 2025, has now revised his estimate. He claims an announcement could come this month or next, with the launch expected earlier than June. Video Games Chronicle (VGC), citing unnamed sources, reports that the remake is likely to arrive in April. Virtuos, known for porting AAA titles, is said to be handling development.
