FromSoftware just dropped a 10-minute overview trailer for Elden Ring: Nightreign, and it’s a tight primer on what to expect before the game hits on 30 May 2025. The multiplayer co-op spin-off offers a new world, new systems, and a big shift from the classic Elden Ring formula.

The trailer starts by introducing Limveld, an ancient world now falling into ruin under eternal night. Each run into this world changes, meaning no two sessions will be the same. It’s a roguelike-style structure built for replayability.

You’ll face different enemies depending on your route, and how you prepare is up to you: farm, explore, or hunt high-value targets. Just don’t forget the Nightlords waiting at the end of each run. These boss fights are massive, punishing, and built for co-op play.

The presentation also revealed seven of the eight Nightfarers (playable characters), including Ironeye, Raider, and Executor. But one remains unrevealed, possibly teased in a brief shot. There’s one surprise FromSoftware is saving for launch.

The Roundtable Hold returns as your base, where you level up and unlock cosmetics, including throwbacks like Solaire’s armour from Dark Souls. You’ll also uncover memory fragments tied to each Nightfarer, hinting at their backstories and unlocking new objectives.

Overall, the Nightreign trailer covers the essentials but leaves just enough mystery to keep us guessing. With over 30 million Elden Ring copies sold, all eyes are on whether this bold multiplayer shift sticks the landing.

Elden Ring: Nightreign launches on 30 May 2025 for PS5, Xbox, and PC.
