Bethesda Softworks and id Software have rolled out Update 2 for DOOM: The Dark Ages, packing in new ways to tear demons apart. The highlight of this update is The Ripatorium endless arena mode, a brutal survival gauntlet where the carnage doesn’t stop until you do. You can check out the Update 2 launch trailer below.

This update also delivers combat upgrades for the Mecha Dragon, Atlan, and the Slayer himself. Expect tighter weapon handling, refined glory kills, and balance changes across the entire campaign. Whether you’re using your iconic Super Shotgun to rip through hordes or your Shield Saw to carve enemies to pieces, the flow of battle will feel more meaner and sharper.
The Atlan mech now crushes demons with more impact. The Mecha Dragon feels deadlier in the air. And the Slayer is an even bigger nightmare for Hell’s armies.
DOOM: The Dark Ages is still all about standing your ground. The action is vicious, just as the series built its name on.
