Indie studio Crazy Goat Games is branching out. Best known for city-building titles like Worshippers of Cthulhu, the Polish developers are expanding their monster-taming universe with a brand-new roguelite adventure: Path to Tamer Town. Revealed during the latest Monster Tamer Direct, the game is set to launch into Early Access on PC (Steam) in Q1 2026, with a full release (including console versions) planned for Q3 2026.

A fresh path in the monster-taming genre
While the upcoming Tamer Town blends creature collection with city-building, Path to Tamer Town shifts focus to the journey before the settlement. Players will travel across procedurally generated routes, towns, and encounters, assembling and training a team of Mokitons — the mysterious monsters at the heart of the series.
Each run plays out differently thanks to shifting maps, randomised events, and branching choices. The end goal? To reach the Stadium Showdown, a climactic test of strategy where your team’s growth and your decisions shape the outcome.
“Up to now, we’ve mainly created city builders, so Path to Tamer Town is a big challenge for us,” said Agata Strużyna, Marketing Manager at Crazy Goat Games. “We’re developing brand-new mechanics and even new Mokitons that will only appear in this game. It’s a lot of work, but also a lot of fun – and a chance to show the world something fresh.”

What is Path to Tamer Town?
- A roguelite monster-taming adventure where no two runs are alike
- Procedurally generated routes, cities, and encounters that keep journeys fresh
- Hybrid combat that blends real-time action with tactical decision-making
- New Mokitons to collect, train, and evolve
- Branching choices that shape your team and strategy
- A dramatic finale in the Stadium Showdown
And what about Tamer Town?
Launching later in Q3 2026, Tamer Town is Crazy Goat Games’ more ambitious creature-collecting city-builder. Instead of just training Mokitons for battle, you’ll build a thriving town where these creatures live, work, and contribute to the community. With over 130 Mokitons to collect, expeditions to complete, and city tournaments to compete in, it promises a deep, long-form experience that complements the roguelite prequel.
A growing monster-taming universe
Between the city-scale management of Tamer Town and the procedurally generated runs of Path to Tamer Town, Crazy Goat Games is building a layered world that blends familiar monster-taming ideas with fresh mechanics.
Path to Tamer Town launches in Early Access on Steam in Q1 2026, with a full release across PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Switch 2 expected later that year.
