Clair Obscur director Guillaume Broche does not want to expand the studio, according to a recent interview, in order for the team to remain hands-on with the game and focus on development instead of management.
The game did not just win Game of the Year, but it dominated the entire award show as it broke the record for the highest number of game awards in a single night, which clearly showed how much of a success it is.

Clair Obscur devs choose limitations instead of expansion
During an interview with GamesRadar+, Guillaume Broche said that their next project will not be a mass production, as limitations are good when you are creative. Usually, when any indie studio has a massive hit, the first thing they do is scale up the manpower, but it will not be like that here.
He also added that they do have the money to scale up, but they are not tempted, as they are currently hands-on with the game and prefer to do things themselves instead of managing. He concluded by stating that the studio loves making games, as the past five years have been the best of his life, and he wants to be happy again.

Sandfall Interactive’s Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 fans are reassured that the next game from the studio will more likely contain the same spark that made Clair Obscur a success, rather than becoming a generic, over-managed product.
