Aksys Games will release a physical edition of CARDS RPG: The Misty Battlefield this fall. It will be available for PS5 and Nintendo Switch in the West.
The game was developed by ACQUIRE. It first launched digitally on May 23, 2024, for PS5, Switch, and PC via Steam. A physical version came out in Japan on the same day.
CARDS RPG mixes cards with tactics
This is a strategy RPG with roguelike deckbuilding. You play on grid maps and use cards to battle. There are over 100 unique cards to collect. You’ll need to build smart decks and change your strategy often.
The enemy, the Hellmuth Brigade, won’t go down easily. Each fight needs a new plan. You must adapt to the map and make good choices.
There’s also a Mini-Game mode. You pick one unit and move through a grid. You’ll fight, upgrade, and make key choices in limited turns. It all leads to a boss fight. Your path and deck decide your success.
The physical version comes later this year. If you like tactical games with deep systems, this one is worth a look.
