Nitro Blaze 8 and 11: Acer unveils two new gaming devices

Acer has introduced two new gaming handhelds at the CES 2025 event, named Nitro Blaze 8 and Nitro Blaze 11. These devices come with powerful features and are designed for gamers who love to play on the go.

Both handhelds by Acer are powered by the Ryzen 7 8840HS processor, have 16 GB of fast memory, and can store up to 2 TB of games and data. The Nitro Blaze 8 has an 8.8-inch touchscreen, while the Nitro Blaze 11 offers a larger 10.95-inch screen. Both screens are sharp, bright, and smooth, with a 144 Hz and 120 Hz refresh rate, respectively, and a brightness level of 500 nits.

The Acer Nitro Blaze 11 has a unique detachable handle, which makes it more flexible for players. Both devices feature Hall effect sticks and triggers, which provide better control in games. There’s also a front camera, so users can make video calls or stream their gameplay online.

For connectivity, both devices support USB 4 (Type-C), USB 3.2 (Type-C and A), Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.3. Buyers will also get a three-month subscription to PC Game Pass to enjoy many games right away.

The Nitro Blaze 8 will be sold in North America in the second quarter of 2025, starting at $899. In Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), it will cost 999 euros. The larger Nitro Blaze 11 will be priced at $1,099 in North America and 1,199 euros in EMEA.

Apart from the handhelds, Acer also launched a mobile game controller. This controller can connect to both iOS and Android devices using a USB-C port. It has a folding design and can hold screens up to 8.3 inches. The controller can also charge phones with up to 18W power.

The mobile game controller will be available in North America for $69.99 in the second quarter of 2025. In the EMEA region, it will cost 89.99 euros and will be available earlier, in the first quarter of the year.
