We’ve seen major events around the world come to a standstill due to COVID-19. Delays of sporting events, cancellations of Expos such as E3. And now, an announcement from Replay Events about having to postpone PLAY Expo Manchester 2020 until next year.

You can read the full announcement from Replay Events below:

Over the past week we have been monitoring the governments’ response to the Coronavirus outbreak. Despite our desire to go ahead as planned with our Manchester event and give everyone something to look forward to, it has become increasingly clear that we will not be able to proceed with the show this May.

We have been speaking to the venue and the many people who contribute to PLAY Expo Manchester these past seven days to try and find an alternative date for the show this year. Unfortunately, after considering all options, it is with great sadness that that we feel the best course of action is to postpone PLAY Expo Manchester until next year. The re-arranged date for the event will be launched shortly and you do not need to do anything if you still wish to attend, your tickets will automatically be transferred over. Alternatively, you can transfer your tickets to PLAY Expo Blackpool this October if you prefer.

Having listened to feedback this past week we also understand that for many of you priorities have changed and there is a more urgent need to stay at home and look after your immediate families. With this in mind, with immediate effect, we are now offering full refunds to anyone who no longer wishes to attend this year’s Manchester event. If you wish to cancel your ticket, please send us a message through the PLAY Expo Manchester website – www.playexpomanchester.com.

We appreciate you all for bearing with us through this unprecedented time. Your health and safety is our paramount concern above everything and so we hope that you will understand our decision to move PLAY Expo Manchester to a more safe timeline. Please stay safe and healthy. Look after yourselves and your families and we very much look forward to seeing you at a future event when we can all enjoy being together without fear of harm.

Take care,

The Replay Events Team.
