PlayStation fans might not have to wait much longer for the next big showcase. Word is spreading fast that a new State of Play is set for next week, and it could be a big one.
A Reliable insider, NateTheHate, has backed it up, saying Sony’s next presentation is coming “soon” and even pointing to next week. That’s enough to get hype levels through the roof.
State of Play could deliver major reveals
The last proper State of Play happened back in June. Since then, PlayStation has dropped smaller deep dives on single games like 007: First Light and Ghost of Yotei. But it feels like the time is right for a packed showcase.

So, what could we see? Marvel’s Wolverine looks like the headline act, with reports suggesting a 2026 release window. That makes this the perfect moment for a big reveal. Other names in the rumour include Bungie’s Marathon, Phantom Blade 0, Intergalactic Prophet, and even a Metroidvania-style God of War. None of these are confirmed, but the possibilities are exciting.
If the whispers are true, next week could be huge for PlayStation fans. Keep your eyes open – this might be the showcase we’ve all been waiting for.
