SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio are bringing Yakuza 0 to the new Switch 2, with a fresh Director’s Cut launching on June 5. This version of the beloved prequel to the Yakuza series adds new content, including extra scenes with key characters and the first-ever online multiplayer mode, Red Light Raid.
The story unfolds in 1988 Japan
Set in the peak of Japan’s bubble economy, Yakuza 0 follows the stories of Kazuma Kiryu and Goro Majima as they battle for control over Tokyo and Osaka’s entertainment districts. The game explores their complex paths within the yakuza underworld, with Kiryu striving to protect his family and Majima navigating his servitude.

Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut offers enhanced visuals and gameplay, with newly recorded cutscenes that give fans more time with their favourite characters. For the first time in the Yakuza series, Red Light Raid introduces a multiplayer experience. Team up with friends or global players to take on challenge missions. Up to five players can join forces to defeat waves of enemies and bosses, earning money to unlock new characters and abilities.
