One major change is how the controller connects to Xbox servers. A well-known leaker, eXtas1s, shared new information. Sebile will work like Google Stadia and Amazon Luna controllers. It will connect directly to the internet. This should help reduce input lag.
Unlike older Xbox controllers, Sebile will not use AA batteries. Instead, it will have a built-in rechargeable battery. This should be more convenient for players.
The controller is designed to save energy. It will have a special sensor. This will detect when a player picks it up. The controller will turn on automatically. It will stay off when not in use. This helps save battery life.
The new patent also talks about better haptics. This means vibrations in the controller will feel more realistic. The controller will also have a new type of grip. Some people call it “trousers” because of its unique design. The grip could make it more comfortable to hold.
It is unclear if Sebile will have Hall effect joysticks. These sticks prevent “drifting,” which is a common problem in older controllers. Many mid-range controllers now use this technology. Fans hope Sebile will include it too.
