The claim comes from Billbil-kun of Dealabs, a leaker with a strong track record for accurate hardware reveals. They recently shared reported prices, which were around €599 (£505) for the standard Ally and €899 (£758) for the X model. According to them, pre-orders are expected to start during Gamescom 2025.

Microsoft has already confirmed that fans will get their first hands-on time with the handhelds at the Cologne event. That makes Gamescom the perfect stage for unveiling the final launch details.

If the leak is right, we’ll also see the official pricing and date of Xbox Ally and Ally X during the Opening Night Live showcase on 19 August.

This October window has been hinted at before by other industry insiders, but this is the first time a specific date has surfaced. With Billbil-kun’s history of getting it right, the odds seem high that this information sticks.

For now, only the Gamescom appearance is set in stone. Everything else is still unofficial, but probably not for long. If you are a handheld fan, then you should keep an eye on the ONL stream for what could be the full reveal.
