WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers has taken a beating since launch. Many PC players are upset. Performance isn’t great. That’s fair. But let’s not pretend it’s a disaster. Visually, it’s stunning.
People are now calling it garbage. Saying it looks bad. Saying it runs worse. Most of that is just noise. A lot of it feels like attention-seeking. Shouting to go viral. We’ve seen this before with games, with sports, with everything online.
But here’s the truth. WUCHANG at 4K with DLSS Balanced? It looks incredible. Think Crysis levels of detail. Dense forests. Beautiful lighting. Great textures. All running on Unreal Engine 5.
It even looks better than Black Myth: Wukong in some places. Yet both games perform about the same. Still, Wukong got praise. WUCHANG got hate. That makes no sense.

Yes, the game has issues. Yes, it’s demanding. But that doesn’t make it bad. You need proper hardware to enjoy it. But if you have that, it shines. One of the best-looking games on PC, no doubt.

Patch 1.4: Fixed one thing, broke another
Now, let’s talk about the latest update. Patch 1.4 came out recently. It improved performance for some. But it broke resolution scaling.
Right now, you can’t use 100% resolution scale. It resets every time you launch. It’s stuck at a lower setting. This bug happens across all resolutions. Not just 8K.
That’s not all. Frame Generation is broken, too. When far NPCs speak, it shuts off. That kills smoothness. If you rely on Frame Gen, this bug is a problem. It makes the game hard to play.
Leenzee needs to fix both issues fast. These are basic things that shouldn’t be broken.

Don’t nerf the graphics
Some want the devs to downgrade visuals. That’s a bad idea. The graphics are the point. Instead, tweak the settings.
Rename “High” to “Very High.” Then add a new “High” below that. Something better than “Medium.” That would help players with weaker PCs.
The game uses Unreal Engine 5.1.1. A move to 5.6 could help. That version runs better. If the devs can upgrade, they should.

History repeats itself
So, is WUCHANG perfect? No. But let’s be honest, it’s not trash either. It’s a PC showcase title. A “Crysis” moment for 2025.
Remember when Crysis came out? People hated it. It was too demanding. Crytek then made Crysis 2 more console-friendly. And PC fans hated that too.
The same thing is happening now. We ask for a hardware-pushing game. Then cry when we get one. The cycle continues.
WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers has flaws. But the visuals are next level. If you want a game that pushes your rig, this is it.
