At Summer Game Fest 2025, 505 Games and Leenzee Games revealed a brand-new trailer for Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, giving us another deep look into the dark, myth-driven action RPG launching next month.
Set in the final years of the Ming Dynasty, the game paints a brutal world torn apart by civil war, strange illnesses, and nightmarish beasts. You play as Wuchang, a mysterious warrior marked by a curse that’s slowly transforming her body. From the trailer, the tone is clear: this is a soulslike with heavy folklore roots, wrapped in rich Chinese history.

Gameplay leans into methodical combat. Swordplay is sharp and deliberate, with what looks like a mix of light/heavy attacks, stance changes, and dodges. It’s not just flashy, it looks punishing. The enemy design stands out too, with grotesque forms that feel part demon, part legend.

Visually, the game doesn’t hold back. The trailer shows off everything from misty forests to burning temples. The atmosphere feels heavy, not just graphically, but emotionally. If you’re into lore-rich exploration and challenging boss fights, this one’s worth tracking.

When will Wuchang: Fallen Feathers launch?
Wuchang: Fallen Feathers launches 24 July 2025 on PlayStation 5, Xbox, and PC through Steam, Epic Games Store, and the Microsoft Store. It’ll also be available day one on Game Pass, making it easy to dive in without upfront cost.
