Blizzard Entertainment has confirmed that World of Warcraft: Midnight will launch on 2 March 2026 at 3:00 PM Pacific Time. A rumour hinted at a February date, but the shift is small and changes little.
This is the eleventh expansion for the World of Warcraft and the middle chapter of the Worldsoul Saga. The story comes from Chris Metzen, who returned to Blizzard in 2023. After the events of The War Within, Xal’atath returns to Azeroth. She brings the Void with her. The Blood Elf lands fall under attack. The huge Voidstorm moves over Quel’thalas. The tone is dark, and the threat feels real.

The expansion adds four zones, eight dungeons, three raids, and eleven Delves. Silvermoon City has been rebuilt for both factions. Players also get a new Allied Race called the Haranir. Demon Hunters gain the Devourer spec. A new bounty feature named Prey joins the game. The main story lets players choose the order of their campaign paths.

Player housing arrives early. It goes live on 2 December for anyone who pre-purchased the expansion. Those who earn the new Welcome Home achievement will unlock rewards in Overwatch 2, Hearthstone, and StarCraft II. These include a Symmetra skin, sprays, a card back, and faction skins.
